The local wall.
10 minutes east of Pemuteran by boat, off the cliffs of Pulaki Temple, the bottom drops into a steep coral wall. Visitor boats rarely come here — Pulaki is for divers staying multiple days who want a break from the Menjangan crowd.
The wall is dense — soft corals, sponges, and barrel sponges the size of bathtubs. Schools of fusiliers and snapper hold in the current. Sea fans every few metres on the deeper portion.
"Pulaki is what Menjangan was before tourism."
Pair this with Napoleon Reef next door for a quieter outer-Pemuteran day, away from the day-trip crowds at Menjangan.
