The story

Step in from the beach.

No boat, no logistics — Pemuteran's House Reef is exactly that. Walk into the bay from any of the beachfront dive shops, fin out 30 metres, and you're on a sandy slope leading down to a coral garden at 12–15m.

By day it's a relaxed reef dive. At dusk, the mandarin dragonets come out for their mating display. After dark, with a torch, the reef changes character entirely — Spanish dancers, sleeping parrotfish, hunting octopus, bobtail squid.

"The night dive here is a rite of passage in Pemuteran."

Easiest entry/exit on the entire coast. Use it as a check-dive on arrival, a sunset dive, or a night dive — all from the same patch of beach.

Topography

How the dive unfolds.

Beach entry, gentle sand slope from 3m to 12–15m, coral garden along the slope. Linear navigation — head out, follow the slope, return along the same line.

Plan 50–70 min dive: ample bottom time at shallow depth. Day, dusk, or night — same site, very different experiences.
