The story

The quiet one.

Gondol is 25 minutes east by boat, past the Pulaki area. The reef sits in a small bay — not famous, not crowded, often dived only on multi-day stays when guests have done everything else.

It rewards patience. The standard mix of coral and bommies hides macro that you don't get on the bigger sites: pygmy seahorses on the deep sea fans, harlequin shrimp on starfish, ornate ghost pipefish.

"Off the standard rotation. Worth the boat ride."

Best paired with Pulaki and Napoleon as part of an outer-Pemuteran day for divers who want quiet sites and macro depth.

Plan a typical 55 min dive: follow the slope, search the bommies for macro, ascend slowly. Don't rush — Gondol rewards close inspection.
